Richard E. Banks is a top personal injury lawyer in the region.  He was recently nominated one of Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers. His firm, Banks & Associates, represents individuals seriously hurt in trucking, motorcycle, car accidents and medical malpractice cases.

 

Banks & Associates has handled many multi-million dollar injury and wrongful death cases including a $20 million dollar settlement with the nation’s largest trucking company and a $7 million dollar verdict against Metro. 

 

Most recently Attorney Banks obtained a verdict against the municipality of Uplands  Park  for $3.1 million dollars on a police pursuit case that resulted in the death of a young woman.

 

Richard has received many awards and honors for his work both in the courtroom and in the community.  Such recognition has come from the Missouri Bar, The National Bar Association,  Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, Better Family Life, The Urban League,  The St. Louis American, St. Louis Magazine, Ebony Magazine, and The St. Louis Argus.  This year Richard received the President’s Award from the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

 

Richard Banks grew up in the city of St. Louis and currently serves on the boards of the Urban League of Metro St. Louis, Fontbonne University and the Missouri Supreme Court Advisory Committee which oversees the disciplinary process for all Missouri lawyers.  He is a past Regional Director of the National Bar Association.

 

Richard is a product of two HBCU’s, Howard University and Texas Southern University where he received his Law Degree.
